Rosa Shilanski

Rosa moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1975, slightly unwilling to be permanently stationed in Alaska but overwhelmed by her families enthusiasm to be Alaskans. She rose to the challenge, however,  and embraced being a “Hockey Mom,” Boy Scout “Den Mom,” and host to each new rotation of Airman that needed direction while at Elmendorf. She has served as a pseudo-mom and moral compass for multiple generations who would go on to call her, “Mrs. Ski.”

Rosa worked in the BLM District Office in Anchorage, Alaska before joining her husband, Floyd, at Shilanski & Associates, Inc. as Vice President. She continues to serve as manager and Vice President of the firm.
