Initial Consultation Agreement

 

The first step to getting your financial house in order is the Initial Consultation. To schedule your appointment, please read and sign the initial consultation agreement below. There is a fee of $497 to schedule a consultation with our office. We offer a money-back guarantee: if you don’t find our initial consultation to be of value, we will refund the full amount.

This agreement must be signed and the $497 fee submitted before your appointment can be scheduled.

At that time, your Relationship Manager will reach out to you to answer any non-financial questions and to share a link to our secure document center, where you can submit your completed Personal FactFinder and any questions you’d like to discuss during your consultation.

Completing the Personal Fact Finder ahead of your scheduled appointment allows you to take full advantage of the initial hour with one of our Financial Planners. We ask that your questions and information are submitted no less than 3 days in advance so that your Financial Planner has adequate time to review your information.

Initial Consultation Agreement

  1. Parties: This Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between CWM, LLC (“Firm”) and the undersigned client(s) (“Client” or “You”).
  2. Purpose of Services: The Firm agrees to schedule and hold an initial consultation with You for the purpose of reviewing your personal financial situation and discussing whether to engage the Firm for ongoing services. This consultation is exploratory only and does not obligate either party to continue the relationship beyond the consultation.
  3. Consultation Fee: The fee for the initial consultation is $497.00, due upon execution of this Agreement.
  4. No Guarantee of Engagement: Payment of the consultation fee does not create an ongoing advisory relationship. Any engagement of the Firm for continued services will require a separate written agreement.
  5. Confidentiality: Information You provide during the consultation will be treated as confidential and subject to the Firm’s Privacy Policy.
  6. No Legal Advice: The Firm does not provide legal advice. You are solely responsible for seeking independent legal counsel with respect to legal matters, including but not limited to: (a) legal opinions, (b) legal determinations, and (c) legal documents.
  7. Disclosure Documents: Client acknowledges receipt of the Firm’s Form ADV Part 2 and Part 3. If these documents were not provided at least 48 hours prior to entering into this Agreement, Client may terminate this Agreement without penalty within five (5) business days of signing.
  8. Assignment: Neither party may assign this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other.
  9. Firm's Registration: The Firm represents that it is registered as an investment adviser pursuant to applicable federal and state law.
  10. Limitation of Responsibility: The Firm will not be responsible for any inaccuracies or misrepresentations in materials provided by third parties or for decisions You make without further engagement of the Firm.
